Hyosung Halo 2 ATM’s are here! Our first impression – Hyosung really did an amazing job. At first glance it’s obvious that the styling has changed to a more sophisticated, or almost financial institution-ist inspired design. The machine is more boxy, and almost resembles a Genmega. Gone is the color changing LED keyboard, and in is a sleek white LED strip. It doesn’t stand out as much as the color changing keyboard housing on the original Hyosung Halo, but it sure looks more modern and high end.
Improved Security
Some other notable features- the vault door is significantly more beefy. It features reinforced steel plate in front of the cassette area, as well as a reinforced cash tray. It is probably half the thickness of a Level 1 door. Which is great for a retail business hours safe. In our opinion, this is probably one of the most secure doors on a business hours ATM safe ever produced. In addition to the improved door design, the ATM also features more welding. So in comparison to the Halo, they didn’t just spot weld the safe, Hyosung has a minimum 1 inch solid weld in most areas. They also added punch out’s for the wires on the side of the ATM instead of the back only, which our installers love. In addition, they made the top of the ATM on an angle, so customers can’t rest drinks on top of the ATM. Although this ATM is no longer a convenient table- it sure is good design.
The Halo 2 also has space for a NFC (Near Field Communication) Reader- which is supposedly going to be available when the processors are ready.
